Second Delivery of New Boeing 767-300 Freighter

Silk Way West Airlines, the all-cargo national carrier of Azerbaijan Republic, has accepted the delivery of its second brand new Boeing 767-300 freighter, as part of the plan to increase its capacity. After a 13 hour nonstop ferry flight from Seattle, the aircraft landed at Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

Silk Way Airlines received the delivery of the brand new B767-300 freighter from Boeing Commercial Airplanes based in Seattle on May 21st, 2012.
The carrier is to launch twice-weekly direct service between Stansted Airport and Baku Heydar Aliyev International, Azerbaijan in July.

Silk Way Airlines Inaugural Twice Weekly Freighter Services

Silk Way Airlines inaugurated its twice-weekly freighter services on Boeing 744F aircraft on November 2nd. The aircraft operates Milan Malpensa-Baku (its home base)-Hong Kong, returning by the same route. All Handling operations provides by Hactl to Silk Way Airlines with one-stop-shop air cargo handling services including physical cargo handling, air cargo documentation and ramp handling services.

Rescue Charter Flights Dispatched to Turkey After Earthquake

Silk Way Airlines arranged airlift support for the Ministry of Emergency Situation of the Azerbaijan Republic and dispatched 3 special charter flights on IL-76 aircraft from Baku to Van (Turkey) to rescue victims of the devastating earthquake that hit the region on Sunday, October 23rd.
